Here’s the final installment of photographs showing the new treehouses at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. Shown here is the Bird’s Nest designed and built by Treehouse Workshop in the style of a fire lookout. The staircase spirals around a tulip poplar and from the deck one looks out into the forest. Nature surrounds a person in this treehouse!

This spring we had the pleasure of working side-by-side with the Forever Young crew at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. While Treehouse Workshop built the Canopy Cathedral (as well as another treehouse to be shared here in another post), Forever Young constructed a beautiful, universally accessible treehouse at the edge of a large meadow. Their craftsmanship and vision is unparalleled.

TreeHouse Workshop just completed a little treehouse for a wonderful client in LA.

On the ground floor is a writing desk, sleeping loft, and play area for the client’s daughter.

On the upper deck lives a meditation hut, masterfully crafted by carpenter David Whitlock.

It’s been a busy and exciting spring! TreeHouse Workshop completed two treehouses at a public garden in Pennsylvania and another for a screenwriter in Los Angeles. TreeHouse Point has been in the news. Our daughter Emily graduated from high school. And I just sent my new book off to the publisher.
Here are a few pictures of the Canopy Cathedral, one of the two treehouses we built on the grounds of Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

Charlie working on the upper railing.

Daryl putting the finishing touches on a handrail.

The treehouse almost complete, Ian ascended into the trees to remove the rigging.

When the treehouse opened to the public, children ran to it from all directions. They loved the hand-carved dragons.
